However, since PDF files are preferred formats in many settings, you'll be required to do some editing with a PDF reader. Here, we'll show you one of the basic skills in PDF document editing - how to add a page to a PDF file.

How to Add Pages to PDF Files with WPS Office

If you find yourself missing a page on your PDF file, you can use a PDF reader to add a page to your document. Below are the steps to do so:

  1. Launch WPS Office.

  2. Open the PDF file.

  3. Go to the Page tab.

  4. Click Insert/Add Pages.

  5. A dialog box will appear. Set the parameters such as page size and insert position.

  6. Click Ok.

These easy steps are all it takes to add a page to your PDF file.

How to Assign Page Numbers to a PDF File

Now that you know how to add a page of your document, next is how to add page numbers to a file.

Page numbers help you organize your pages and plan them accordingly. They also prevent the chances of misplaced or mixed up pages upon printing.

  1. Launch the WPS Office program.

  2. Open the PDF file.

  3. Select the Insert tab.

  4. Click on Page Number.

  5. Select Insert Page Number.

  6. Choose a page range that applies to you:

  7. Choose a number format. This is how the page numbers will appear on your document.

  8. Customize your font size, type, and color.

  9. Select the position where the page numbers will be.

  10. Click Insert.

  1. Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+I.

  2. Modify your settings in the dialog box. This will include things like page size, position, and direction.

  3. Click Ok.

Another cool feature you can use is inserting an existing page from a different file to the one you're currently editing. To do this:

  1. Click Page and select Insert Pages > Select from PDF. Or you can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+T.

  2. Select the file you want to derive the page from.

  3. In the dialog box that appears, go to Page Range.

  4. Set the pages that you want to insert in your PDF by clicking Some Pages and typing in the page number.

  5. Set the page where you want to insert your selection.

  6. Click Ok.

Deleting Pages

If you made a mistake in inserting some pages or simply want to remove some from your PDF document, you have the option to easily delete them. These are the steps on how to delete PDF pages:

  1. Under the Page tab, click on Delete Pages.

  2. There are two options in the dialog box that will appear:

  3. Delete selected pages removes the pages you have selected.

  4. Custom delete page lets you specify the pages you want to remove. For example, using  the format "1,3,5" lets you delete the first, third, and fifth pages while "1-5" removes all pages from the range specified.

  5. Click Ok to permanently remove the pages from your document.
